Thames Gateway EdEquity CIC, Company No. 16942795, incorporated December 2025. Registered office: 18 Nicholas Close, South Ockendon, RM15 6NJ. A Community Interest Company delivering free tutoring, mentoring, careers guidance and digital skills support to young people aged 11 to 17 across Thurrock, Havering and Barking and Dagenham. Asset-locked to IntoUniversity, meaning our assets can’t be extracted for private benefit even if the CIC were wound up.

We’re a member of Thurrock CVS, the National Digital Inclusion Network, and Charity Excellence, and we adopt the Good Finance frameworks for financial transparency and social investment readiness. Each is an independent check on our practice, not something we assess ourselves.

Inputs

Volunteer mentors and tutors, community venue partnerships, the CIC’s eligibility and needs scorecard, validated outcome instruments.

Activities

Fortnightly one-to-one mentoring; structured academic confidence and study-skills sessions; community referral and outreach through HAF, church and parent networks.

Outputs

Number of young people enrolled, sessions delivered, meaningful-dose completion rate.

Outcomes

Measured wellbeing change (WEMWBS), behavioural and emotional development change (SDQ), and academic readiness confidence change, tracked pre and post engagement for every young person who completes the programme.

Safeguarding Policy summary: every volunteer working directly with young people holds an enhanced DBS check before any contact begins. A two-adult rule applies to all direct delivery. Written parental or guardian consent is obtained before any assessment or session for participants under 16. Any response during an assessment indicating possible risk of harm is escalated immediately to the Designated Safeguarding Lead, regardless of which programme or funder is involved.

Our Safeguarding Policy sits alongside our Data Protection and Confidentiality Policy, which governs how personal and assessment data is stored, retained and destroyed on schedule.

Results coming once our first cohort completes their programme. We’ll publish WEMWBS, SDQ and readiness-assessment results here, including our completion rate, as soon as we have them. Our measurement methodology is available to download now.

Our most recent management accounts cover 27 May to 11 June 2026, with a closing balance of £1,405.00. As a CIC incorporated in December 2025, not yet in receipt of a major grant, this reflects an early-stage organisation running on volunteer delivery and modest running costs, not a funded delivery programme. Full accounts are filed publicly with Companies House as required.

RCCG The Fountain, Rima House, Barking, is our confirmed delivery venue partner. As an early-stage organisation, we don’t yet have a secured multi-year funder to name here.

We’re actively building relationships with several trusts, foundations and community funds, and we’ll add names to this list publicly as soon as a grant is confirmed, rather than list an application that’s still in progress and could still be declined.
