Kenny founded Thames Gateway EdEquity after ten years of mentoring young people and watching the same pattern repeat: kids with real potential falling through gaps that had nothing to do with ability and everything to do with access.

He’s a PhD researcher at Glasgow Caledonian University London, where his research looks at how you model and fund infrastructure sustainably at a systems level, work that shapes how he thinks about building an organisation that can actually last rather than one that burns out its volunteers in year two. Before this, he spent years in senior sales roles at Conoil and Nigerian Bottling Company, which is where he learned how to run something operationally rather than just care about it.

A retired teacher who spent her career in classrooms watching the attainment gap widen for the students who needed the most support. She leads on safeguarding, drawing on years of direct child protection experience in schools rather than a policy learned for the sake of a funder checklist.

A mental health practitioner. He makes sure our tutoring and mentoring never loses sight of the fact that a struggling 13-year-old needs more than help with fractions, and brings that clinical background into how we design the wellbeing side of our programmes.
